Prairie Engine
Patch Notes
A running record of the changes shaping General Simulation Engine.
- 01Release
Prairie Engine 1.2.0 / build 56
Updated from version 1.0.3 / build 37.
- 02Models
Three fixed Gateway routes
Replaced the catalog-driven model menu with GPT-5.6 Sol (imaginative), GPT-5.6 Terra (balanced), and GPT-5.6 Luna (affordable). Terra is now the default.
- 03Models
Strict model-roster enforcement
Unsupported selections are rejected, and obsolete saved selections automatically migrate to Terra.
- 04Interface
Paper-and-ink model selector
Placed directly on the connection screen with a “3 routes” label, then limited to the title page during normal use.
- 05Interface
Running-world stamp
Added the Prairie Labs / General Simulation Company™ stamp beside Reset while simulations are running.
- 06Opening
Five rotating opening suggestions
The opening prompt now fades between a Northern California lake, an abstract art museum, three boyband singers, a Prairie frontier town, and a neolithic settlement every three seconds.
- 07Interface
A quieter wait state
Replaced “the engine turns” with “be patient” / “the machine dreams,” and replaced the spinning wait cursor with the normal pointer.
- 08Identity
Title-page cleanup
Removed the lower-left prairielabs.ai credit from both the title page and generated-world specification; the title page now carries a small 1.2.0 version mark.
- 09Guardrails
Stronger generated-page controls
Only the required A/B/C buttons are allowed. Model-created Reset, model, menu, settings, replay, and other controls are rejected with a precise error.
- 10Gateway
Improved Gateway validation
Connection validation now accommodates reasoning-heavy models that require a larger output-token allowance.
- 11Notice
Complete product notice
Replaced the pending-counsel placeholder with a notice covering probabilistic output, possible inaccuracies, professional-advice limits, independent providers, privacy, availability, quotas, rates, and possible Gateway charges.
- 12Installer
Redesigned installer
The installer is now a consistent 660 × 400 paper-toned drag-to-Applications window with two 144-pixel icons and an embedded deterministic layout.
- 01Release
Prairie Engine 1.0.3 / build 37
Established the signed, notarized, and stapled universal macOS release served by Prairie Labs.
- 02World
One persistent world
Stored the current world locally and restored it at launch so a simulation could continue across sessions.
- 03Simulation
Three-choice progression
Advanced every running world through exactly three A/B/C choices at each turn.
- 04Gateway
Vercel AI Gateway connection
Connected the application to user-selected models through the user's own Vercel AI Gateway key.
