The draw
New Client generates a fresh prospect on the spot — person, business, venue, referral, all of it. Read the pre-meeting brief the way an RM would: some of it may be stale. Draw another if the fit is wrong.
At the table
Say it as you'd say it, one exchange at a time, up to twenty. The read in the rail — guarded, warming, open, cooling — moves with how the client actually receives you. Hover the pre-meeting brief for your field notes. Cooling is recoverable; burned is not, and a burned client may leave.
What wins
Nobody moves their banking at a first coffee. The ceiling is a second meeting with a date, an introduction, or permission to send one useful thing — and only if you ask. The debrief tells you what you heard, what sat beneath it, and what comes next.
Records
History keeps each meeting as one complete page. Failed exchanges roll back cleanly — nothing is recorded until the reply lands.
